Methodology

Company identity comes from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs company master. Listed active companies are matched to NSE and BSE codes and ISIN where the mapping is confident.

Corporate events are taken from official NSE disclosure APIs (corporate actions, board meetings, and announcements). They are not scraped from search pages.

Directors, financial line items, and group companies are parsed from BSE annual-report PDFs (including Form AOC-1 and related-party sections). PDF table extraction is imperfect. DataDelta currently:

  • Drops director rows whose names look like headings (“To Appoint…”, “Annexure I”) or that lack an 8-digit DIN.
  • Withholds director appointment dates until they can be checked against MCA records. Some extracted dates are birth years, not appointments.
  • Withholds subsidiary ownership percentages. Numbered AOC-1 rows were sometimes stored as percentages.
  • Relabels related-party and minority holdings instead of calling every linked company a subsidiary.

Always confirm material facts in the original MCA, NSE, or BSE document before you rely on them.
